Manchester Originals Men's Coach Announced

The first coach of The Hundred announced. Manchester Originals welcome your men's coach. Simon Katich.

Announced today. The first men's coach in The Hundred. Simon Katich will lead the men's Manchester Originals team.

Assisted by current Lancashire head coach Glen Chapple and assistant coach Mark Chilton.

Simon Katich played 56 Tests for Australia scoring more than 4,000 runs. He finished his playing career at Lancashire in 2013. Katich has served as assistant coach with Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League since 2015.

Katich: “I am incredibly excited by the opportunity to lead the new men's Manchester Originals team in The Hundred, starting next year.

Katich brings a wealth of knowledge to The Hundred from his time in the IPL, working alongside Kolkata Knight Riders coach Jacques Kallis. He's seen success as a player when captaining the Perth Scorchers to their first Big Bash League title in 2014.
