Q&A: Keightley on players, tactics & London
NEWSThe timeout. The players. The city. Lisa Keightley is coming. She reveals the England players she'd like in her team. Plus her love for the city of London.
How will you use the timeout?
It’s hard to say at this stage but my initial thoughts would be around key moments in the game or when you need a momentum shift.
What about the role of 5 or 10 balls from an end?
This may change throughout the competition but at this stage I would hope we could be flexible and react to the game.
What do you love about London?
The architecture, pubs and the cockney accent, plus Borough Markets and I love the shopping in London. Then when the sun comes out everyone is in the parks trying to get a tan and having a beverage, it’s the city that never sleeps.
Which player would you most like to play for your Hundred team next season?
One of the England players who came through the MCC Young Cricketers program, Heather Knight, Tammy Beaumont or Danielle Wyatt.
Which player from history would you like to have at your team?
Because the Ashes is on I’m going to say Janette Brittin from England and Belinda Clark from Australia two of the all-time greats.
