Super Saturday starts here

The Hundred has already burst into life. Get ready for the biggest day yet.

Expect runs and fun galore today as the remaining four teams in The Hundred get their chance to show their stuff in front of cheering crowds.

Trent Rockets and Southern Brave start Super Saturday off at Trent Bridge before Northern Superchargers and Welsh Fire do battle later on at Headingley. At the end of the day, every team, women and men, will have played once and the early leaders will be sitting at the top of the table.

You’re guaranteed edge-of-the-seat excitement as every ball of The Hundred counts and the teams tussle to reach the Final on 21 August at Lord’s.

In what’s sure to be an electric atmosphere, BRIT award-nominated local boy Jake Bugg will be at Trent Bridge to play some of his hits, including Lost, while at Headingley, York’s own The Howl & The Hum, a four-piece guitar band, will be on hand to provide more entertainment.

First up, coach Charlotte Edwards will send her Brave side into battle with Indian international Smriti Mandhana and Stafanie Taylor of the West Indies alongside homegrown talent such as Danni Wyatt and Anya Shrubsole.

Katherine Brunt supplies the pace bowling for opponents Trent Rockets, who will also feature Australian Sammy Jo-Johnson and New Zealand’s Rachel Priest.

Rockets' men’s squad is led by former England head coach Andy Flower. And it features current and former England internationals galore, including Alex Hales, Dawid Malan, Joe Root, veteran Luke Wright and Samit Patel.

They’ll go head to head with Mahela Jayawardene’s Southern side boasting the pride of South Africa, Quinton de Kock, and New Zealand’s Colin de Grandhomme.

Meanwhile, at Headingley, fans will see Lauren Winfield-Hill, Laura Kimmince as well as Ben Stokes, Adam Lyth and David Willey in action for Northern Superchargers up against Fire stars Sarah Taylor and Georgia Redmayne, Jonny Bairstow, Ollie Pope and Jimmy Neesham.

Watch all the action on BBC2 from 1.55pm and on Sky Sports The Hundred from 10.30am.
