Teams in The Hundred Women's Competition will build their squads over the coming months. This is how it works.
- The Hundred Women’s Competition in 2021 will feature eight teams and the best players in the world.
- Squads of 15 players will be confirmed ahead of the 2021 edition
- All players may re-sign for the same team as 2020
Stage One - September 2020
All players signed to play in the 2020 edition of The Hundred will be given the opportunity to roll-over their contracts to 2021. By doing so they will continue to play for the same team and be paid the same fee.
Stage Two - October 2020 to May 2021
Each team will select the rest of its squad of 15 and must sign a minimum of 13 players by the end of stage two. Teams can sign a maximum of three England women’s centrally contracted players and a maximum of three overseas players.
Teams can sign a maximum of three overseas players.
Stage Three - June 2021
If any team hasn't signed a full squad in stage two, this is the time to do it. By the end of stage three each squad will have a squad of 15 players.

How are the men’s
A process for men’s squad selection in 2021 will follow a different approach and will be confirmed in due course.
