If you're a newcomer to cricket, you may not know the coach of your favourite The Hundred team used to swing the bat or twirl the ball to a pretty high standard.

Among the bosses of The Hundred sides are one of the most-decorated women's cricketers of all-time, arguably the greatest-ever spinner and one of the most prolific batters in cricketing history. With these ultimate competitors in charge, The Hundred matches are sure to feature plenty of fireworks.

CHARLOTTE EDWARDS

Smashed a then-record One-Day Internationals 173 not out before she was 18. She captained England 220 times, won three series against Australia and the 2009 Women's World Cup and Women's World Twenty20 double during that span. Charlotte was awarded an MBE in 2009 and a CBE in 2014.

SHANE WARNE

A member of the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. One of the five cricketers of the century in 2000. Bowler of the "Ball of the Century" which turned miles. Men's Cricket World Cup winner in 1999.

MAHELA JAYAWARDENE

The first Sri Lankan to score a T20 international century. Record-breaking batter who won the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 with Sri Lanka and was also part of the team that reached the final of the 2007 and 2011 Men's Cricket World Cup, 2009 ICC World Twenty20 and 2012 ICC World Twenty20.
