Must-win Monday

Southern Brave play host to Oval Invincibles with top-of-the-table influence on Monday in both the women's and men's matches

With just four days to go until The Hundred Eliminators on Friday, the business end of the tables couldn't be tighter and Monday's match-ups between Southern Brave and Oval Invincibles will go a long way to deciding the Finals Day line-up.

Southern Brave Women have already clinched their spot at Lord's on Saturday thanks to their guaranteed first-place finish. And Oval Invincibles Women were gifted an Eliminator spot when Trent Rockets lost to Manchester Originals yesterday.

The 6-1 Brave have scored two of the highest five totals in The Hundred so far, including the biggest – 166 in the statement final-clinching win against the Fire on 11 August. But Oval will have their own chance to send a message by beating the competition-leaders, who could be their eventual final opponents.

In the men's clash the two teams couldn't be more evenly matched. Oval sit at third in the table while Southern are fourth, both on nine points with identical 4-2 records.

A win for either team takes them above the surging Birmingham Phoenix and second-placed Trent Rockets, putting the current leaders under pressure ahead of their Tuesday night visit to Northern Superchargers. However, a loss for either team would put them out of the competition's Eliminators.

Getting the entertainment started will be the Isle of Wight's four-piece Coach Party, who'll be performing some of their best-known tracks including Everybody Hates Me to fire up the Southampton fans.
