Who are the ECB?
The England and Wales Cricket Board Limited (ECB) is the national governing body for cricket and is also the Local Organising Committee for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 (CWC2019), the operator of The Hundred and runs We Are England Cricket Supporters.
There are a number of other organisations that are involved in the world of cricket such as the International Cricket Council (ICC), which is the world governing body for cricket. There are also local organisations such as First Class County Cricket Clubs, the MCC, County Cricket Boards and Chance to Shine.

A new cricket tournament for England and Wales is almost here. The Hundred. The Hundred is an action-packed, unmissable new 100 ball cricket competition that will put you on the edge of your seat. Everyone is welcome.
It will feature world-class players and massive names from around the world. Eight brand new city-based women's and men's teams will compete over five weeks every summer. A men’s squad and women’s squad will be formed for each team, with the competitions running alongside each other.
The competition will begin in summer 2020. The full fixtures are out now!
Eight new teams have been created. Those teams will be, Birmingham Phoenix (Edgbaston), London Spirit (Lord's), Manchester Originals (Emirates Old Trafford), Northern Superchargers (Emerald Headingley), Oval Invincibles (Kia Oval), Southern Brave (Ageas Bowl), Trent Rockets (Trent Bridge), Welsh Fire (Sophia Gardens). The women's teams will also play at selected other venues too.
On 20 October 2019 history was made. The first The Hundred Draft to select 96 players in the men’s squads. The women’s teams will be selected via their own bespoke player selection process. A number of England stars have been picked for teams including, Ben Stokes, Heather Knight, Joe Root, Nat Sciver, Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, Katherine Brunt, Chris Woakes, Anya Shrubsole, Jofra Archer, Sam Curran, Danni Wyatt, Jason Roy and many more.
The Hundred will be broadcast on Sky Sports and the BBC.
