What is The Hundred?
The Hundred is an action-packed, unmissable, 100-ball cricket competition that will put you on the edge of your seat. Everyone is welcome.
The Hundred Explained
It features world-class players and massive names from around the world. Eight city-based teams, created specifically for The Hundred, will compete over five weeks every summer.
Each team has a men's and women's squad, with the two competitions running alongside each other.
With only 100 balls per side every ball will be crucial in The Hundred
When does it start?
The Hundred will start in July 2026, with full fixtures set to be released in January.
Which teams are playing?
Eight new teams were created for The Hundred. Those teams are:
- Birmingham Phoenix (Edgbaston)
- London Spirit (Lord's)
- Manchester Originals (Emirates Old Trafford)
- Northern Superchargers (Headingley)
- Oval Invincibles (The Kia Oval)
- Southern Brave (Utilita Bowl)
- Trent Rockets (Trent Bridge)
- Welsh Fire (Sophia Gardens)

What happened in 2025?
Northern Superchargers won the Women's Competition, while Oval Invincibles won the Men's Competition for a third year in a row.
How are players selected?
From 2026, players for the men's and women's teams will be selected in auctions.
Each team has the option to make four retentions or direct signings (or a combination of the two) for their men's and women's teams ahead of the auctions, with these salaries taken out of their auction pots.
