What is The Hundred?
The Hundred is an action-packed, unmissable, 100-ball cricket competition that will put you on the edge of your seat. Everyone is welcome.
It features world-class players and massive names from around the world. Eight city-based teams, created specifically for The Hundred, will compete over five weeks every summer.
Each team has a men's and women's squad, with the two competitions running alongside each other.
When does it start?
The third year of The Hundred will begin on Tuesday 1 August 2023 when Trent Rockets host Southern Brave.
Which teams will play?
Eight new teams were created for The Hundred. Those teams are:
- Birmingham Phoenix (Edgbaston)
- London Spirit (Lord's)
- Manchester Originals (Emirates Old Trafford)
- Northern Superchargers (Headingley)
- Oval Invincibles (Kia Oval)
- Southern Brave (Ageas Bowl)
- Trent Rockets (Trent Bridge)
- Welsh Fire (Sophia Gardens)
Each squad comprises 15 players with a maximum of four overseas stars, plus no more than two centrally contracted England players in the Men's Competition.
What happened in 2022?
Oval Invincibles won the Women's Competition for the second year, while Trent Rockets won the Men's Competition.
How are players selected?

When is The Hundred Draft Powered by Sage?
The Hundred Draft Powered by Sage will take place ahead of the 2023 competition.
